Take a bite out of Big Apple hotels!

With more than 450 hotels, New York offers a dazzling array of world-class properties. We narrowed down our hit list to a range of hotels that will satisfy all tastes and budgets.

For sleek midtown design comfort, try the 240-room Viceroy on 57th St, just steps away from Carnegie Hall, Central Park and Radio City Music Hall. The nearby Quin and Westhouse are solid bets in the affordable design category. For a bit of luxury pampering, try the 189-room Surrey on 76th and Park Avenue, the only Relais and Chateaux property in New York.

Further downtown, we suggest the supremely elegant Nomad hotel on 28th and Broadway, which features some of the most beautifully designed rooms in New York and an amazing food and beverage program. If scene is what you are after, try the New York outpost of hipster brand Ace Hotel on 29th and Broadway, or downtown’s Bowery Hotel in the Lower East Side.

In the budget/design/scene category, try Nolitan below Little Italy or the Hotel on Rivington. Over in the West Village, we liked the Marlton Hotel, where rooms are as luxurious as they are small. For uber luxury below 14th St, try the Crosby St Hotel in SoHo or Robert DeNiro’s swank A-list retreat, the Greenwich Hotel, in the city’s chic Tribeca neighbourhood. Some honorable mentions for New York include The James and Trump, both in Soho, and the Andaz on 5th Ave, which is probably your best bet for a New York business hotel.
